BLACKMAGIC ULTRASTUDIO MINI RECORDER NOT DETECTED MAC SOFTWARE
thankfully they've finally (re-)implemented the stinger functionality but also changed to a subscription model which includes a: HEY! Your version is currently not attached to a valid account! DID YOU WANT TO RENEW!? If it weren't for the fact that Wirecast is the better software out there, what with VMix breaking blackmagic capture cards and OBS' audio controls being a complete trash factory. Midi support but no proper font support, built-in PTZ tool (that requires a panel on a specific screen to be open) but broken camera awareness. I'm finding that there are a lot of those types of issues with the software that are not being focused on instead of trying to release iterations of features that account for a minimum amount of users. that sounds like something that Telestream won't claim is their issue but rather yours with poor planning and setup. Fortunately the place has a backdoor but I probably lost any chance of working with that client again. After trying several times with different attempts to get the BMMiniRecorders going again I had to reconnect my main camera to a Magwell hdmi capture device to get it to work again and was able to get back on with 3 minutes to go in the game. When I did NONE of my cameras were picked up except the low res webcam that was capturing the scoreboard. In the 4th quarter of packed gym of screaming fans of a tied game with about 1000 people watching online, a thunderbolt chord got pulled out of my main end- to -end camera and I had to restart. Last Night I was streaming a high school tournament championship basketball game with four camera’s, 3 of them using BMMRs with a thunderbolt cord.
Matthew Potter Not being able to plug in a camera source after Wirecast has started is not a bug - it’s a curse! I’ve asked for that feature for years but still live with the fear that someone will pull a thunderbolt cable out of its connection and I will lose that camera until I shut the whole stream down to restart Wirecast.
